‘paving slab workshop’ for a week as part of the London Architectural
Biennale 2006. The public were invited to create their own paving slab
and with a variety of materials on hand, the event was an opportunity
for any visitor to engage with the concrete and get their hands dirty.
Creators ranged from 5 to 75 year olds and included established
architects and designers to the local community and general public. |

Inspired by old leather belts, reclaimed seat belts, old braces, vintage leather saddles, salvaged fabrics and tie silks.
