The illustrator wrote 130 letters to herself, cleverly disguising the addresses on the envelopes using dot-to-dot drawings, crossword puzzles, cartoons, and even color perception tests. While we tend to think of postal workers with disdain, her results were astonishing—only ten letters weren’t delivered."

  "  The word 'wunderkammer' translates as 'wonder-chamber'. The term is German, although collections of curiosities have existed in Italy since as early as the 16th century. These were the first museums and housed both the familiar museum fare such as natural specimens, minerals and coins, as well as more aberrant and miraculous objects such as religious reliquaries, double apples, 'mermaids' and the like. 

    This Wunderkammer is both a museum and a retail store. The shop specialises in science and natural history. In the collection are antique botanical prints, anatomical models, specimens preserved in vintage glass canisters, fossils, medical instruments, beetles and butterflies in hand blown specimen domes: the scope of Wunderkammer is as broad as the scope of human scientific enquiry. The owner of Wunderkammer, Ray Meyer, chooses the objects for the collection based on standards of beauty, rarity, historical or educational value and, of course, the ability to inspire wonder. "

"Lipsticks is a series of large-scale photographs of lipsticks near the end of their lives as consumer products, worn away through use.

What first attracted me to the subject was, simply, the mysterious and abstract beauty of the lipsticks of some friends. Though completely unintended, the daily private ritual of applying lipstick had turned these utilitarian and phallic objects into sensual mini-sculptures of bold colors and shapes impossible to duplicate or imagine.

These photographs have multiple connotations. To improve her appearance and sexual attractiveness, each woman molds her lipstick with her hopes and dreams and fears. Each shape simultaneously evokes and bears the imprint of a complex and secret emotional past.

Lipstick is sometimes viewed as yet another tool of sexual manipulation. As an enlarged photographic image on a gallery wall, however, these instruments of gender commercialism are transformed into symbols capable of multiple, even contradictory, interpretations."
